The 10th Muse was not one of the daughters of Zeus and Mnemosyne. Sappho was named the 10th Muse by Homer. The title of 10th Muse is a common tribute paid to outstanding female poets. Little is known about her history and many of her works have been lost to time. One of her only completed works that can be found is a poem titled “Ode to Aphrodite.”
